When was your most provocative moment as a dancer or choreographer?

My most provocative moment was when I ws sitting in my Principles of Sales class, at Clark Atlanta university. 

Describe when you had a freeing experience, or a “come to moment” and realization that dance and choreography was your calling and purpose.

(in class at Clark Atl)  My teacher, Dr. Joan Pleasant, who is also a pastor randomly said “Everyone has an ‘uniqueness.’  Your ‘uniqueness’ is something that takes others years of training to obtain but you can do it effortlessly.  It is your God-given gift and you must use it to make a difference in the world.  Make it your career… I know we are a little off topic but God wanted me to say that to someone”… As soon as he said that, “DANCE” boldly popped up in my head.  I immediately started crying (I tried sooo hard to hold it in because I didn’t want to lose my G card lol).  I knew he was talking to me.  I had never had any consistent training in dance but yet I was always told how good I was.  However, I still doubted myself and was considering a career in corporate America… until this day.

Why does this moment stick with you and how does it inspire you in all of your dance and choreography creations? 

It just stuck with me because it was that "ah ha" moment that made me realize that I am not only a dancer but an artist that has to keep pushing and striving to became great so I can share my art and touch as many people as possible.
